Contemporary Art Museum Tour
Join the Math/CS club to visit "For the blind man in the dark room looking for the black cat that isn't there", a new exhibition at the Contemporary Art Museum of St. Louis. The curator of the exhibition, Anthony Huberman, will take the club on a guided tour. The title of the exhibition is from a Charles Darwin quote about mathematicians. The show starts with the premise that art is not a code that needs cracking. Celebrating the experience of not-knowing and unlearning, the artists in this exhibition understand the world in speculative terms, eager to keep art separate from explanation. Embracing a spirit of curiosity, this show is dedicated to the playfulness of being in the dark. Meet in the Ritter Hall Lobby at 4:00. At 4:10, we will walk to the Contemporary (at the corner of Spring and Washington). Alternately, join us at the museum at 4:30. Document Actions |
