JOB TITLE: Application Developer

DESCRIPTION: A privately-owned business in downtown St. Louis is seeking an Application Developer to enhance the mission and direction of the business. The company creates highly secure, self-service web sites for government and business. The company's mission is to provide state of the art technology and superior support and management services.

The company is looking to fill the position immediately. Candidate must be available to work in St. Louis, MO or willing to relocate. Recent graduates and developers with novice to moderate experience welcome. This is a non-contract full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities
1) Application development of a new system under the direction of the Chief Technical Architect
2) Interface with customers regarding problems within various Production systems
3) Define and research the problem and evaluate possible coding solutions
4) Work with testing resources to effectively create and execute test plans

Technical Skills
1) Should have practical development experience using Visual Basic (ASP.NET)
2) Experience developing with Microsoft SQL Server
3) Java and C# development skills are a plus
4) Experience with Oracle a plus
5) Experience with Microsoft Reports Server a plus

Required General Skills
1) Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at multiple levels, including: programmers, project managers, and customers
2) Must be a self-starter, work well in a team environment, and be able to work with minimal direction. Must display flexibility and initiative
3) Strong problem solving & analytical skills; must demonstrate effective organizational skills, demonstrated by ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, & be attentive to detail
